QUANTITATIVE

Quantitative research is one of the main research methodology which involves interviewing a specific target group (consumers, business, customers, general public etc) using a questionnaire or computer software via polls and surveys. It emphasizes on objective measurement where the researcher has a clearly defined research objective question to which objective answers are being sought.

Quantitative research deals in numbers, logic and objective stance. It may involve random or non-random sampling approaches. Data are in the form of numbers or statistics, often arranged in tables, charts, figures or other non-textual forms. Quantitative research can be used to generalize concepts more widely, predict future results, solve problems, prove business cases, investigate causal relationships and uncover opportunities.
